	STATEMENT OF PURPOSE Satyricon is a non-profit, social, support and educational group open to people of all genders and orientations in the BDSM community. Satyricon believes in safe, sane, non-exploitative and consensual relationships between adults. BDSM may include bondage, domination, submission, sadomasochistic play, and/or other forms of power exchange. All BDSM activities are by definition consensual, and any lack of consent means that the acts in question are sexual assault or rape, not BDSM. As a group we support the free and open exploration of one's basic sexuality. In order to meet these goals, Satyricon serves as: A forum for the educational discussion of safe, sane, non-exploitative and consensual dominance/submission, sadomasochistic play, and/or other forms of power exchange between adults in a non-judgmental context. A support and social group for people dealing with personal issues relating to BDSM such as determining one's orientation, coming out, dealing with the BDSM interests of a friend or loved one, and defining one's personal limits.
